How to order the correct net length
If the net is attached later, it will hang - more or less - between the telescopic poles. However, this 'sagging' costs network length, which was not taken into account when measuring the balcony. Mostly it is only 5-10cm centimetres between the telescopic poles, which are additionally required due to sagging.
In order to ensure that you have enough network length later, we also recommend ordering approx. 5-10% more network length than the measured balcony length. That for smaller balconies (up to 10m in length) an additional 5cm per measured balcony meter should be ordered separately. For balconies / enclosures etc. with a length over 10m we recommend to order up to 10cm more per meter of balcony length.
Which mesh size is the right one for my cat?The size of the cat and especially the size of the head decide on the required mesh size. The mesh size must be chosen so that the cat's head does not fit through the mesh under any circumstances - not even by force.
How to find out the right mesh size? There is a simple little 'Boy Trick':
Take a thread and cut it to 20cm. This is the size of a mesh with 50mm mesh size (4 sides each 5cm = 20cm circumference). Hold both ends together with forefinger and thumb, forming a loop. Now try to pull this loop over the head of your cat. If it succeeds, then 50mm mesh size is too big. Then cut the thread to 16cm length and try again. If the loop slips over the head again, a mesh size of 40mm is too big. For a 30mm mesh size you need a thread length of 12cm and for a 20mm mesh size a thread length of 8cm.
Please note:
We do not have ready-made nets. All nets are cut to length and height according to your specifications. We ask for your understanding that we can neither exchange nor take back these nets.
