Assembly Instructions for Our BOY Cat Net Door
Our cat net door is straightforward to assemble - ideally on a carpet or on the lawn. Unpack all parts and check the parts list to make sure everything is included. Lay all parts out as shown in the sketch. This gives you a clear picture of what the finished door will look like in just a few minutes.

Now insert the tube sections into one another as shown in the sketch. The door width is continuously adjustable from 80 to 120 cm and the height from 180 to 220 cm. Once all parts are connected, screw the latch hook into the designated hole in the centre strut.
Check that the assembled door matches your desired dimensions. Then place the cat net over the frame, making sure the horizontal and vertical rows of mesh run parallel to the frame sides.
net ties. Net cord is a good alternative. If you don't mind a bit more work, you can also thread the individual tube segments through the cat net.

Start at the top of the frame, pull the net down to the bottom and secure it there. Then work along the centre strut and both long sides – always pull the net taut, as a well-tensioned net gives the door significantly more stability.
Before trimming any excess net from the sides, check the door dimensions one more time and adjust if necessary. Then tighten all locking screws firmly.
Now attach the door to the wall or wooden frame. Screw the lower hinge into place, hang the door on the lower hook, and mark the exact positions of the two upper hinges. Once those are fixed, the door can be properly hung. Finally, insert the eye screw for the latch hook so that it clips in and out smoothly.
You're done – congratulations!
Important Note Before Final Installation
Only assemble the frame permanently once you are certain it fits and that you intend to keep it in place long-term. Until then, please handle it only as much as is strictly necessary for testing.

To check whether the frame will hold in the door groove, simply lay one of the larger-diameter tubes into the groove. If it rolls out, the frame will not hold there.
The locking screws must not be tightened while the frame is only being tested – they can scratch the lacquer on the inner tubes. Push the tubes together carefully so that the product remains in resaleable condition in case of a return.
Safety and Care Instructions
If needed, ask another person to assist you during installation.
Cleaning
Wipe the frame clean with a soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent. The door net should be hand-washed at 40 °C and hung up to dry. Do not use a tumble dryer.
Disposal
Please dispose of packaging materials in the appropriate recycling containers or at your local recycling centre. BOY Katzennetze is a member of Landbell AG, which handles proper disposal on our behalf. Information on recycling facilities is available from your local municipal office.
Intended Use
The door net frame is intended solely for securing domestic cats in private use. Commercial use is not permitted. Additional loads – such as hanging objects from the frame or using it beyond its mechanical load capacity – may damage the product and are not allowed. The net frame must not be used as a safety device for people or children.
Safety Instructions
Open the packaging carefully with a knife or scissors to avoid damaging the contents. Keep plastic films and bags away from young children.
Fire and UV Warning
The door net is flammable and must not be exposed to open flames or intense heat. UV radiation causes the net to become brittle over time, reducing its tear resistance. Check the tear resistance regularly – a brittle net no longer provides adequate protection and must be replaced at the first signs of wear. A replacement net is always available.
