How to order the correct net length
If the net is attached later, it will hang more or less between the telescopic poles. However, this sagging requires additional net length that is often not taken into account when measuring the balcony. In most cases, an extra 5–10 cm is needed between the telescopic poles due to sagging.
To ensure that you have enough net length later, we recommend ordering approx. 5–10% more net length than the measured balcony length. For smaller balconies up to 10 m in length, about 5 cm extra per measured balcony meter should be added. For balconies, enclosures, and similar installations over 10 m in length, we recommend ordering up to 10 cm extra per meter of balcony length.
Which mesh size is the right one?
The size of the cat, and especially the size of its head, determines the required mesh size. The mesh size must be chosen so that the cat's head cannot fit through the mesh under any circumstances, not even by force.
How to find the right mesh size
There is a simple little "Boy trick": take a thread and cut it to 20 cm. This is the size of a mesh with a 50 mm mesh size (4 sides of 5 cm each = 20 cm circumference). Hold both ends together with your forefinger and thumb to form a loop. Now try to pull this loop over your cat's head. If it succeeds, then 50 mm mesh size is too large. Then cut the thread to 16 cm and try again. If the loop slips over the head again, a 40 mm mesh size is too large. For a 30 mm mesh size, you need a thread length of 12 cm, and for a 20 mm mesh size, 8 cm.
Please note
We do not have ready-made nets. All nets are cut to length and height according to your specifications. We ask for your understanding that we can neither exchange nor take back these nets. All nets are therefore excluded from the right of withdrawal: the right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose manufacture an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.
