Assembly Instructions for BOY Cat Net Door

Our door is relatively easy to assemble – ideally on carpet or a lawn. Unpack all parts and check the packing list to ensure everything is present. Arrange all parts as shown in the diagram. This will give you a good idea of how the finished door will look in just a few minutes.

Now, connect the tube parts as shown in the diagram. The width of the door can be continuously adjusted from 80 to 120 cm, and the height from 180 to 220 cm. After connecting the parts, screw the locking hook into the designated hole in the center strut.

Check if the assembled door matches the desired dimensions. Then, lay the cat net over the frame, making sure that the horizontal and vertical mesh rows run parallel to the frame.

The easiest way to attach the net to the frame is with our net ties. Alternatively, net twine can be used. For those who don't mind a bit more effort, the individual tube segments can also be threaded through the cat net.

BOY Door Net Frame for Cat Net – Overview of all individual parts

Start at the top of the frame, pull the net down taught, and secure it there. Then continue along the center strut and both long sides – always pull tightly, as a taut net gives the door significantly more stability.

Before cutting off any excess net at the sides, double-check the dimensions of the door and adjust them if necessary. Then, tighten the locking screws firmly.

Now, attach the door to the house wall or wooden frame. Screw on the bottom hinge, insert the door with the bottom hook, and mark the exact positions of the two top hinges. After they are attached, the door can be inserted. Finally, install the eye screw for the locking hook so that it can be easily hooked and unhooked.

You've done it – congratulations!

Important note before final assembly

Only screw the frame together when you are sure it fits and is intended for permanent use. Until then, please handle it only as absolutely necessary for testing.

Safety note BOY Cat Net Door – Check door groove before assembly

To check if the frame holds in the door groove, place one of the larger diameter tubes into the groove. If it rolls out, the frame will not hold there.

The locking screws must not be tightened during the test – otherwise, they could damage the paint of the slide-in tube. Only slide the tubes carefully into each other so that the item remains in perfect condition for a potential return.

Safety and Care Instructions

If necessary, ask another person for assistance during assembly.

Cleaning

Clean the frame with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Hand wash the door net at 40 °C and hang to dry. Do not use a dryer.

Please dispose of packaging material in designated recycling containers or at a recycling center. BOY Katzennetze is a member of Landbell AG, which organizes disposal. Inquire about recycling locations at your local authority or municipal administration.

Intended Use

The door net frame is exclusively intended for securing domestic cats for private use. Commercial use is not permitted. Additional stress from attached objects or use beyond mechanical load capacity can damage the product. The net frame must not be used for securing people or children.

Safety Instructions

Open packaging carefully with a knife or scissors to avoid damaging the contents. Keep plastic films and bags away from small children.

Fire Protection and UV Resistance

The door net is flammable and must not be exposed to open flames or strong heat. UV radiation makes the net brittle over time and reduces its tear resistance. Regularly check the tear resistance – a brittle net does not provide adequate protection and must be replaced at the first signs. A suitable replacement net can be found in our shop.
