Framing system for balconies or terraces

Boy Frame System for Balconies or Terraces for Installing Cat Safety Nets

There are two ways to set up the net frame system (connecting rods and connectors):

  • Together with our extendable telescopic poles (see image 1 + 2) - to stabilize the upper long side
  • Only with the connecting rods and connectors (see image 3) - building a frame on all 4 sides

For stabilizing the upper long side in conjunction with the extendable telescopic poles:

To prevent the net from sagging between the telescopic poles and to give the entire system greater stability, the extendable telescopic poles are connected at the top with the connecting rods and connectors. For this purpose, the connectors are fastened to the top of the telescopic poles with a screw and nut. The connecting rods are then pushed into the connectors and clicked into place. Done. The net is attached to the connecting rods with net ties. Of course, you can also thread the connecting rods through the top mesh row (before the rods are mounted). At the bottom, the cat net is also attached to the railing / handrail with net ties.

Building a net frame on all four sides:

If you also want to install a fixed connection/frame on the lower long side - as above - then you cannot use the extendable telescopic poles, as the diameter of the outer tube is the same as the connectors. The lower end of the extendable telescopic pole therefore does not fit into the connectors. In this case, connecting rods must be used instead of the extendable telescopic poles. The connecting rods are tapered at the top and bottom so that they fit into the connectors. The connectors do not need to be fastened to the connecting rods with a screw/nut. The rods are pushed into the connectors and held there by a tension spring.

Subsequent installation of a net frame on the lower long side of the extendable telescopic poles:

If you have already mounted the extendable telescopic poles and the connecting rods/elements on the upper long side and would like to subsequently connect the lower long side with the frame system, you will need our "connecting tubes". These are clicked into the connectors and then inserted into the telescopic pole from below. To prevent them from slipping out of the telescopic poles, either the net must be attached to the connecting rods when taut, or a hole must be drilled into the aluminum tubes so that they can be secured in the telescopic pole with a self-tapping screw.
