Window security
The BOY window net frame is easy to assemble and individually adjustable in width from 80 to 140 cm and in height from 100 to 155 cm. With the locking screws, you can precisely adjust the appropriate size for your window opening.

The individual tube parts are plugged into one another, as shown in the sketch included in the delivery. After assembly, check whether the frame dimensions fit your window. Insert the frame into the window frame for a trial run and push it apart until it is firm. Mark this setting (e.g., with tape) – this will give you the exact frame size to which the window mesh will later be attached.
1. Attaching the net to the frame
Place the window net on the frame and ensure that the horizontal and vertical mesh rows run parallel to the frame. The easiest way to attach it is with the included mesh ties (10 cm) or, alternatively, with mesh yarn.
First, attach the net to the top of the frame, then to the bottom. Pull the mesh firmly to give the frame additional stability.
Then secure the net to the left (or right) side and then to the opposite side, each with slight tension.
Any protruding mesh remnants can be carefully trimmed. Then insert the frame into the window frame: Loosen the locking screws, slide the frame into the window, and spread it apart again until it is firm.
2. Important note before final assembly
Only screw the frame together permanently if you are sure that it fits and is intended to remain in the window permanently. Until then, please use the window mesh frame only as far as necessary for testing.
To check if the frame holds in the window groove, place one of the larger diameter tubes in the groove. If it rolls out, the frame will not hold stably there.
The locking screws do not need to be tightened firmly during testing to avoid damaging the paint on the slide-in tubes. The tubes should only be pushed into each other carefully so that they remain saleable in case of a return.
3. Safety, Care, and Disposal
Assembly Instructions
If necessary, ask another person for help during assembly.
Cleaning
The frame can be easily cleaned with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. The window mesh is hand-washed at 40 °C and hung to dry. Please do not use a dryer.
Disposal
Dispose of packaging materials in the designated recycling containers or at the recycling center. BOY Katzennetze is a member of Landbell AG, which organizes disposal. Information on recycling locations can be obtained from your local authority or municipal administration.
Intended Use
The cat protection mesh frame is intended for securing domestic cats in private use. It must not be used commercially. Additional loads – e.g., attached objects or use beyond the mechanical load capacity – can damage the product and are not permitted. The mesh frame must not be used as a personal or child safety device.
Safety Instructions
Carefully open the packaging with a knife or scissors so that the item is not damaged. Keep plastic films and bags away from small children.
Fire Protection and UV Resistance
The window protection mesh is flammable and must not be exposed to open flames or strong heat. Due to UV radiation, the mesh will become brittle over time, reducing its tear resistance. Therefore, regularly check the tear resistance – a brittle mesh no longer provides adequate protection and must be replaced at the first signs.
