A patio offers cats a wonderful place to roam right outside the front door but only if it’s securely enclosed. Depending on whether your patio has a pergola or fixed posts, or is completely open, there are two proven solutions. Both can be customized to fit the size of your patio.

Which solution is right for me?

  • My patio already has a pergola or fixed posts → Solution 1 (braided rope & heavy-duty cable ties)
  • My patio doesn't have a pergola, or I'd like a freestanding enclosure → Solution 2 (enclosure poles + lawn anchors)

Solution 1

Installation on an existing pergola or post

The existing pergola posts serve as natural supports for the cat net. Using a braided rope and net ties, the net is stretched taut between the posts—all the way around and up, with no gaps.

Solution 2

Freestanding enclosure with enclosure poles

If your patio doesn't have posts or a pergola, the fencing poles with lawn anchors are the ideal choice. The poles are simply inserted into the ground at the edge of the patio. Thanks to their olive-green color, they blend unobtrusively into the garden landscape.
