If two materials of different hardness rub against each other, the softer material will wear through over time. The same problem exists with cat nets that are hooked into metal hooks. After a while the nylon thread of the net is frayed.
To avoid this problem, our hooks are covered with plastic. Our screw hook set consists of 6 strong screw hooks coated with white plastic and 6 matching quality dowels (Fischer).
